US Elections: Last Election Debate Between Trump and Biden

The latest election debate between President Donald Trump and his Democratic challenger Joe Biden has begun in Nashville, Tennessee.

To avoid a repetition of the first, too chaotic debate, the organizers turned off one candidate’s microphone when the other answers questions from the moderator.

Biden and Trump, who recently contracted the contagious coronavirus, will be further than 3.5 meters apart. President Trump is the first to answer a question. The topics covered are leadership, the corona epidemic, race relations, the American family, national security and climate change.

The president and the former vice president will cross swords for the second time on Thursday evening (local time).

It should have been the third debate, but Trump declined to have the second debate online. The organizers suggested that after the tumultuous course of the first debate and the president’s corona infection.

The latest debate is primarily a last chance for President Trump to win over floating voters. Trump has to catch up in the polls. The president seemed to be sinking into the polls after the first debate.

The question is whether he will be more presidential and disciplined on Thursday night rather than trying to unbalance his opponent, as Trump tried in the first debate. That debate degenerated into chaos due to the constant interruptions by Trump, despite the prior agreements.

The latest election debate, which takes place at Christian Belmont University, can be followed via the YouTube channels of the American news channels ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS, Fox News and C-SPAN. The talks are directed by Kristen Welker, NBC News White House correspondent.
