Pacemaker for Former US Vice President Mike Pence

Former Vice President of the United States Mike Pence has been given a pacemaker.

The operation was successful, and Pence is expected to make a full recovery in the coming days, his spokesman said Thursday.

Pence, who has previously been diagnosed with heart disease, had symptoms related to a low heart rate for the past two weeks. Pence was operated on Wednesday at the Inova Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, Virginia.

Pence was Donald Trump’s right-hand man during his presidency (2017-2021).

The relationship between the two took a hit early this year when Pence refused to thwart the ratification of Joe Biden’s election victory, and Trump supporters stormed the Capitol.

Pence also had to be brought to safety at that time.
