Michelle and Barack Obama make a Series about the Fashion world for Netflix. After it was announced earlier that Barack and Michelle Obama would be producing series and other content for Netflix, some of these productions have now been revealed,
the former president of America and his wife are going to make a series about the fashion world in New York, which takes place just after the Second World War.
The Bloom series, which is mainly about the barriers that women and people of colour were confronted at the time,
is written by Callie Khouri, who previously won an Oscar for Thelma and Louise.
Obama also makes a series with the title Listen to Your Vegetables & Eat Your Parents,
which presents children and their parents with information about (healthy) food.
Also, as the production company of Michelle and Barack Obama is called,
Higher Ground will release an adaptation of Frederick Douglass: Prophet of Freedom, written by David W. Blight.
Douglass was one of the leading advocates for the abolition of slavery.
“We believe that these productions not only entertain but also education and inspiration for all of us,”
says Barack Obama in a statement.
