Massacre in Canada: Death Toll Continues to Rising

The death toll in a massacre in Canada has risen. At least nineteen deaths have occurred.

A man shot around him and killed at least eighteen victims, including an agent, Canadian media report Monday. The perpetrator himself was also killed.

The police could not yet say anything about the motive of the 51-year-old dentist, who raged in Portapique in the weekend in police clothes and a car disguised as a police car.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau spoke of a terrible situation.

It is the deadliest shooting in Canada to date, media said. The record was the murder in 1989 of fourteen college students in Montreal by a man who subsequently killed himself.
