A US appeals court has suspended Rudy Guiliani’s license. As a result, he is no longer allowed to practice law in Washington.
Giuliani is the former counsel for ex-President Donald Trump and was mayor of New York from 1994 to 2002.
It is not clear until when the suspension, which affects only the district of the District of Columbia, will take effect. The District of Columbia Court of Appeals issued its order suspending Giuliani’s license two weeks ago.
Since June 24, Giuliani is also not allowed to work as a lawyer in New York state for the time being.
Because, according to a court in that state, he lied that the election was stolen from his client, former President Trump.
