British Queen agrees to Leave the EU. British Queen Elizabeth II has approved legislation that allows the United Kingdom to leave the European Union.
Parliament’s chairman John Bercow declared this Tuesday, updated by Citi News.
The Queen placed her signature under the European Union Withdrawal Act 2018 (Law on departure from the European Union), which officially states that the United Kingdom will leave the EU.
The Act repeals the European Community Act of 1972, in which the UK admits the law of the European Union. This right is also called the acquis communautaire.
The signing of the queen is only a custom because the law has a lot more to negotiate. The British House of Lords accepted this on 21 June.
